River Canyon Apartments are located on several bird migratory routes and we are just a few minutes from Prentice Cooper State Park, which is home to the earliest managed hunt in the state each season. Prentice Cooper State Forest is a delight for hikers, bikers and outdoorsmen. The Cumberland Scenic Trail covers 13.7 miles, following the "Grand Canyon" of the Tennessee River and passing through ancient Indian rock houses en route to Signal Mountain. Mullen's Cove Loop covers 10 trail miles and Pot Point Loop, a 12-mile trail, offers equally interesting overlooks and rock formations.
